Revision: Great Barrier Reef Tourism Threats Serves as Warning for the Future of Other Environmentally Dependent Industries 

This work was completed as a revision project. I was tasked with taking a former piece of writing and revising it for a different style, genre or audience. I decided to rewrite a sociology and photo essay as a science based piece centered around being informative and argumentative. Throughout the revision writing process I changed and adapted my target audience as I developed the writing and altered what I wanted the goal of the piece to be. During drafting in response to feedback on the piece I changed the central goal and added elements to make the argument and examples more broadly applicable. It is made to be a piece that I believe could appear in a news website/paper under a climate or tourism section and is based around pieces of this nature I found in The Independent during the drafting process.
